BOAT TO COLOMBIA - African Queen II sailboat

The captain of African queen has been operating trips in San Blas longer than almost any other captain.  He has a deep knowledge of the islands, the people and how to make an authentic trip.   ABOUT THE BOAT The boat has space up to 10 ppl. The boat has snorkeling gear available, GPS, radar, autopiloto, radio VHF, CD-player, TV, DVD. Your trip will include 3 days in the San Blas islands with all meals, water and tea/coffee and fresh seafood included. CAPTAIN & CREW Rudi & his wife, He is Italian and he is an excellent host, he is famous for his tasty Mediterranean cuisine, also he speaks Spanish, German, Italian and English and he will take you during the trip for paradisiacal landscapes. THE DEPARTURE POINTS & ARRIVAL LOCATIONS The boat departs from Puerto Lindo Panama. The meeting point is the restaurant at Casa X hostel at 5pm on the trip date. To get there guests must pay for ground transportation.  The least expensive is the public bus from Albrook Bus Terminal in Panama City to the Colon Terminal then from there the bus to Puerto Lindo.  Guest choosing this option should arrive at Albrook at 8am because the last connection to Puerto Lindo from Colon is usually at 10am. If enough guests are interested the boat will organize a  shuttle for $25 per guest. Contact us if you want this option, we will put you on the waitlist and book you if the shuttle is offered. The boat arrives at Club Nautica marina in Cartagena.  From there guests can easily take a taxi to main areas. BE PREPARED WITH THE FOLLOWING Any snacks and beverages you want for the trip.  We recommend shopping in Panama City as there are no big shops near the boats departure point. 2 copies of your passport the cash you need to pay the balance of the ground transport, entrance fees, small boat to the sailboat, and the balance due on the sailboat trip. BOAT TO COLOMBIA - Victory Sailboat

About The Boat This 44' monohull was originallly a racing boat. It was refurbished a couple of years ago for this trip. It has an open galley, 1 shared guest bathroom, and a large cockpit comon area.  The boat has a capacity for a total of 10 guests.  The boat doesn’t have any private cabins. All berths are in a shared dorm style areas. Guests must meet at restaurant at Casa X hostel at 5pm on the trip date for a pre trip meeting. To get there guests must pay for ground transportation.  There are 2 options: The public bus. This will cost about $12 total, but you must depart Panama City's Albrook bus terminal to Colon by 8 am in order to make what is normally the last connection direct to Puerto Lindo at 10am. Schedule a seat in in a shuttle for $25, see shuttle details below. The boat arrives at Club Nautica marina in Cartagena.  From there guests can easily take a taxi to main areas. The arrival time is usually sometime in the mid to late morning but this depends on weather conditions.   Shuttle Details: There is a minimum of 2 guests required for this shuttle to operate. The shuttle costs $25 per guest and will pick you up between 12:30 and 1pm on the date of your trip. Your driver is Hernan, a very experienced an friendly driver. He will offer to stop at a supermarket along the way to give you an opportunity to purchase last minute items such as sunscreen, toiletries, snacks or alcohol. The $25 shuttle fee needs to be paid to Hernan in cash. The day before the trip we will add you to a Whatsapp group with our team, the driver and other shuttle passengers. This gives us an easy way to send out pick up times, communicate delays and answer questions others might like to know as well. To sign up for the shuttle all we need from you is a confirmation reply that also includes your pick up location in Panama City. The other option for transportation is the public bus. This will cost about $12 total, but you must depart Panama Citys Albrook bus terminal to Colon by 8 am in order to make what is normally the last connection direct to Puerto Lindo at 10am. Surfboards and kitesurf gear cost $5 additional for the shuttle, please let us know in advance if you are bringing these so our driver can plan to fit these along with the passengers and baggage.   BE PREPARED WITH THE FOLLOWING Separate your luggage into two bags. UNA AVENTURA ABORDO DE UN CATAMARÁN Si usted está buscando una aventura única en un amplio y entretenido Catamarán, The Santana es el viaje ideal para usted. A diferencia de otros botes, este nunca está sobrecargado y el Capitán Gisi, un profesional con muchos años de experiencia navegando a través de las islas San Blas, hará que su estancia durante el viaje sea placentera y sobre todo segura. SOBRE EL BOTE Bote SANTANA es un catamarán de aluminio de 50 pies construido en 1996 y completamente renovado en septiembre de 2015. Este catamarán es muy eficaz en cuanto comodidad pasajera y seguridad. Está equipado con las últimas tecnologías, chalecos salvavidas, dos mini botes de emergencia, bengalas, sistema MOB y más...para que su viaje sea lo más seguro y cómodo posible. BOTE A COLOMBIA – VELERO AMANADE

El velero Amande y su tripulación son muy conocidos por ofrecer un servicio profesional y excelente comida. Amanade I y Amande II son dos veleros idénticos que alternativamente realizan viajes desde Panama a Colombia y viceversa. Aunque hay dos, debido a su frecuencia de viajes de calidad entre las dos direcciones, huéspedes interesados en viajar con Amande, han de reservar con antelación para poder asegurar un billete. SOBRE EL BOTE: Amande I y II son modelo Dufour 50 Atoll 6 de 500 pies (15 metros).   Ambos botes cuentan con: 6 cabinas dobles con amplio espacio de almacenamiento y cuatro baños en perfectas condiciones. Velas de 115 m2 y motores de 85/90. Ambos botes están registrados como veleros comerciales panameños. Piloto automático, GPS 2, e inspecciones anuales de seguridad (AIS). Reserva de agua de 1500 litros. Deposito de combustible de 500 litros. Paneles solares. Ejemplo de itinerario: - Dia 1 – Salida de Puerto Lindo, Panamá: La navegación a las islas San Blas toma alrededor de 8 hora. Usualmente, nuestra primera parada es en la isla Chichime donde pasamos el resto del día y la noche. - Dia 2: Muy cerca de isla Perro, nuestros pasajeros podrán disfrutar de un tiempo de buceo contemplando un viejo barco hundido. Pasamos la noche anclados en un área llamada “Cayos de Limones”. Pasaremos cerca de 2 horas navegando en las calmadas aguas de San Blas. - Dia 3: En “Holandays Cays” se visitará 2 dos llamativas/os playas y arrecifes. En la noche zarparemos hacia Cartagena. - Dia 4: Dia entero navegando en mar abierto. Se alcanzará cercanía a la costa de Cartagena. - Dia 5:  Llegada a Cartagena con un delicioso desayuno. Se tratará de que inmigración se realice antes del atardecer. El viaje finaliza en el club Náutico Marina. SOPHIA SAILBOAT PANAMA TO COLOMBIA   ABOUT THE BOAT Sophia VI is a Vagabund 51 Ketch sailing boat, and is equipped with a 120 HP turbo diesel engine. The boat was built in 1985, refitted in 2014 with new rigging and got a new  engine in 2017. It has GPS,life rafts and life jackets. There are 2 guest cabins plus bunks in the main area. There is one four person cabin with double bed and two single bunks. A two person cabin with a large bed.  In the main cabin there are 3 single bunks and one double bed. The most common thing to do is take a taxi to the Albrook bus terminal and a bus from there. The boat arrives in Sapzurro, Colombia.  There are no roads into this area.  See below for onward travel to Cartagena instructions and costs.   ONWARD TRAVEL TO CARTAGENA All times and prices are approximate. All amounts may change due to providers’ policy and money exchange rates. To get to Cartagena it takes one day, leaving in the morning and arriving in the evening. The journey consists of one boat ride and two bus/van rides. After the trip ends in Sapzurro, you will need to take a local motor boat to Capurgana and spend at least one night in Capurgana in order to catch the morning boat to Necocli. Sapzurro to Capurganá - local motor boat (12.000 COP per person). In Capurgana you need to stamp into Colombia at the immigration office. This is free and easy, no need for onward ticket. You will only need 1 copy of your passport and your yellow fever card. We recommend getting the yellow fever vaccine before getting to Panama Republic. Canadian nationals need to pay a 160.000 pesos entrance fee to Colombia.   Capurgana to Necocli - Around 1.5 hours. Leaves once a day at 11:00 a.m. Cost is 70,000 COP. You must book your ticket for the boat to Necocli and have your Colombia immigration stamp the day before you leave. In preparation for Necocli ferry make sure all your bags are protected by bin liners (plastic bags). These can be bought at the shop by the dock. Have sun block ready. Hint, the most comfortable place to sit is at the back of the boat. ABOUT THE BOAT It is a 45ft cutter rig with plenty of space up to 8 ppl. The boat has hammocks, snorkeling gear and spear guns available.    ABOUT THE CREW Rengin and Tashin from Turkey/USA have both been sailing since they were young and have been on the Delfin Solo together now for many years.. They do a great trip and are known for their relaxed atmosphere, interaction with the guests and delicious Turkish influenced cuisine They also have a cat on board   ABOUT THE TRIP 5 days/ 4 nights 3 days in the San Blas islands and 2 days over open ocean to Cartagena 3 meals per day plus water Spear guns Hammocks   THE DEPARTURE POINTS & ARRIVAL LOCATIONS The boat departs from the marina in Puerto Lindo, Panama.
